visit the Legal Services Commission's website by clicking here. There you will find a link to the Community Legal Services website where there is an eligibility calculator in order to check whether you will be entitled to legal advice on a non-charging basis.
You can also call the LSC's Community Legal Advice helpline on: 0845 345 4345, where students will be able to obtain initial free, confidential and independent legal advice and also a list of agencies and solicitors firms that provide legal advice in the various areas of law covered by the Legal Aid scheme.
