"Your Students Union' is committed to becoming a sustainabile organisation. We recognise that all of our activities, products and services have an impact on the environment and believe that managing and reducing these impacts should be an integral part of the policies that we follow" - SU Environment Policy 02/09

Over recent years, the Students' Union has rapidly become a greener, more ethical students' union, and whilst it is important to shout about our past successes, it is just as important to ensure that the growth we have seen over recent times is sustained. Our Environment Executive and his team of volunteersare always working hard to ensure that the Students' Union is continuing to improve and build upon our already very green credentials.

These pages are at the heart of what goes on within the Students' Union when it comes to issues of the environment and sustainability and are key to ensuring that we continue to improve. Because of this, these pages are updated on a regular basis to ensure that every student, staff and vistor of the SU can see what we are doing and how they can get involved to help us make a real difference to the world around us.

Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 - 22nd February to 7th March

Your Students' Union is supporting Fairtrade Fortnight 2010. During Fairtrade Fortnight you can:

Take advantage of offers at your SU Bar and Shop. Free coffee refil, Dairy Milk and Coffee for £1.20, Free UoG Scarf when you buy a Fairtrade Hoody. Ask bar and shop staff for more details.
Fairtrade Fayre, Park Refectory and Oxstalls Cafe Direct. Tuesday 23rd February 10:00 - 3:00.
Fairtrade vs. Buy Local Debate, Park SU Bar, Tuesday 23rd February 3:00. Buy anything at your SU bar and shop on Monday to recieve a free raffle ticket for some fantastic prizes. But to win the prize you MUST be in the SU bar on Tuesday for the debate.
Special Fairtrade Sunday Night Banter, All SU Bars, Sunday 28th February.
