Elected Officers - The Students' Union is a student led organisation where our membership have the opportunity to influence the decisions our organisation makes. An important element of this input comes from our executive who are elected each year. Any student can stand in the elections and vote. The executive is made up of 3 full time paid execs and 11 part time unpaid execs.
I want to make sure that everyone gets the most of their time here at the University, from both an academic side and the social side. I'm into loads of sports; Football, Formula 1 and NFL mainly and also love music, my favourite bands being Feeder, Coldplay and U2. The student voice needs to be heard, and as the SU President I'm in charge of making sure that happens. No problem's too small so come and see me, even if you're just feeling a bit lost. University should be an experience to enjoy, so don’t suffer in silence! You can find me on the gound floor of FCH hospitality centre next to the TC rooms :)
I'm a typical girl's girl but I don’t shy away from active things! I love to rcok climb and quad bike, and at the moment I’m trying to train to do a half marathon. Wish me luck cos im gonna need it! :)

Hi, my name is Charley Cooney and I'm currently Sports Officer for the Students' Union. My job is to look after all the sports teams and run the sports events & fixtures we have at the university. I also work with the other officers to ensure students get the best out of their experience. I am a friendly and approachable person who is always willing to talk and help in any way possible.
