UoG Summer Ball 2010 FAQs *new*
Q. When is it?
A. Saturday 15th May 2010
Q. Is it back at the Racecourse?
A. Yes, we know that the racecourse makes the Summer Ball for many of you so we are taking it home!
Q. When can I get a ticket?
A. Tickets can no longer be bought. For those of you who have bought tickets online, please find information about ticket collection by clicking here.
Q. When will the line up be announced?
A. Most of the line up has been announced now, and information can be found here.
Q. Why was last years ball cancelled?
A. As explained, the Summer Ball is a costly and financially risky event for the SU so a decision was taken last year to set a minimum amount of tickets to be sold very early in semester 2. The target was not reached so the ball didn't go ahead.
Q. What is the chance of this years ball being cancelled?
A. None at all, we are committed to going ahead with the Ball this year so it will 100% go ahead.
Q. Can I bring a guest who isn't a student?
A. Yes you can, as long as you buy the ticket and they bring a valid id (i.e. proof of age) and ticket to the event. All you will have to do is sign them in on the day.
Q. Is the Summer Ball open to the public?
A. No. The ball is for University of Gloucestershire students and guests only. As a part of advertising agreements we do have limited tickets available to two local companies.
Q. If I graduated last year can I still come along?
A. Yes, we are opening up ticket sales to alumni members and recent graduates - all you have to do is buy your ticket as normal and bring your old student ID or letter from the University with your name on it to the Ball.
