Nicki Castello, Head of the University’s Careers Centre, is a professional Careers Consultant with ten years’ experience of careers guidance in higher education.
She has scrutinised hundreds of CVs over the last decade – helping students to articulate their achievements and make a positive impact upon graduate employers. Earlier in her career she was a secondary school English teacher, so she will be paying particular attention to the spelling, punctuation, grammar and elegance of expression of competition entries!

Simon Reichwald has worked in graduate recruitment and development since 1994. His business, Bright Futures Resourcing, exclusively manages the internship and graduate recruitment for companies across the UK. He also spends a lot of time and energy helping undergraduates get an edge in the job hunting market through the Bright Futures Societies that he & his team run at over 30 UK Universities. ‘We want to give any student who wants a competitive edge in the very competitive job hunting market’

Emma Neath, the elected Education and Welfare officer for 2009/2010 studied for 4 years at the University, in Human Resource Management and Marketing Management. The combination of these skills highlighted to Emma the need to brand yourself and market your skills to employers. In her placement year at nPower, she constructed a career toolkit for employees; which helped them to map their skills, attributes and aspirations. After getting heavily involved in the interview panels at nPower, with the Students Union and Student Services, she was happy to team up with Jobshop Jo, find £100 worth of prize money and set about scanning the skills of students.
