Who are Endsleigh?

Endsleigh are the UK’s No.1 student insurance provider. They’re also the only insurance provider recommended by the National Union of Students (NUS). Over the last 50 years, Endsleigh have been dedicated to getting to know, working with and providing insurance for students just like you.

They’ve taken the confusing, complex and (quite frankly) ‘adult’ parts of taking out an insurance policy and made it easy to understand, simple and student-friendly.

Endsleigh know that most students aren’t exactly ‘rolling in it’. That’s why you can choose to take out affordable insurance for your gadgets, car, possessions, musical instruments, bicycle and more. So you can do you at uni, whilst they look after all your favourite stuff.

What is student insurance?

Student insurance is literally just insurance which was designed for people at uni. You can choose to cover lots of different items (such as your phone, laptop and bicycle) and should anything happen to them (like theft, or accidental damage), you’ll be able to claim from your insurance to get them fixed/replaced.

As Endsleigh are a dedicated student insurance provider, they’ve built their insurance policies around student lifestyles – allowing you to enjoy uni your own way, without the worry of having to pay to replace your stuff if anything unexpected happens.

Why is insurance important for students?

You know that heart-wrenching moment when you smash your phone and instantly start weighing up life without Instagram and spending a couple of hundred quid on a new one? That’s what insurance protects you against.

As a student, you’ll probably have a busy lifestyle. From partying through the week, to late nights at the library, your social life is probably going to be busy. Combine that with the fact that most students are on a strict budget and rely a lot on their gadgets, and you’ll probably see that expensive gadgets plus a uni lifestyle can sometimes be a recipe for disaster.

Insuring your favourite belongings gives you piece of mind that if anything happens to, for example, your iPhone, you won’t be disconnected for long (or severely out of pocket either!).

Do I need student insurance?

Did you know that the average value of a student’s possessions at uni is £3,041*? If you couldn’t afford to splash three grand on replacing your belongings if something unexpected happened, you probably need student insurance.
