SHEFFIELD

Every year we head up to Sheffield to play against some of the best Universities in the country. This year was very competitive, with a lot of hight ranking British and International players turnning up to play for their university. With little success last year we are looking to improve throughout the year and advance further into the tournament than ever before. 

This year we are planning to try new pairings and develop skills further. Anyone from the Badminton team can play you've just got to show us what you've got!

VARSITY

We are so excited for varsity. Gloucestershire VS Worcestershire! This week of sports decides who are the ultimate champions every year! Dates typically start in May. 

TOUR

For the past several years, Badminton have been going on Tour each year. Ourselves and other teams from the University have gone to different countries, such as Spain and Croatia.  Last year we went to Porec Croatia with ILoveTour. It’s an amazing experience and is highly recommended to go. It’s a great occasion to bond with your fellow teammates. Details of this year’s tour will be posted closer to the date.

SPORT AWARDS

At the end of each year, all the clubs a the UoG come together and celebrate the year of sport. It’s a great way to round off the year and is a nice touch for all the players leaving the team at the end of the year. There are multiple awards to be won, alongside a three-course meal make it a night to remember.
