Our chosen charity for the 20/21 season is “Student Minds” they work specifically with university students focusing on their mental health and well being. This charity is important to our charity sec Georgia as mental health inprovment is something that is close to her. Student Minds help to set up workshops and fundraisers, which all aim to reach their goal of supporting university students mental and physical health and well being. University is a fantastic experience full with many obstacles and challenges along the way, having a good support system is vital and this charity works to maintain that. We are looking to working with Student Minds this season.

At UOGWH, we have been very successful in the past with our charitable efforts and take pride in raising awareness. Please take a look below at some of our charity work from previous years.
Last year the club represnted two charities 'It's In The Bag' and 'Breast Cancer Now'. We raised money by organising an 'Out With The Old, In With The New' 7 a-side hockey tournamnet that saw a number of clubs past and presnt come together to play hockey. We also held Bonkers Bingo which helped raise even more money for our choosen charities.
In 2014, UOGWH won Best Charitable event of the Year Award at the annual Sports Award Ceremony.
As a club, we raised £1500 for Brain Tumour Research and we did this by designing and creating blue & blue bubble hats and celebrating in style at our 'Bobble hat Bash'.
In 2014/2015, we focused our charitable work on raising money for Cervical Cancer. We did this by creating our own #TeamGlos cups which were a hit for Varsity this year.
