Transgender Day of Remembrance

Wed 20 November 2019 18:30-20:30
Friends Meeting House, Gloucester

Transgender Day of Remembrance

All are invited to the Transgender Day of Remembrance Event at Friends Meeting House, Gloucester on 20th November at 6.30pm.

  • Current wait list for just a FIRST APPOINTMENT at an NHS Gender Identity Clinic is now two and a half to three years.
  • The Gender Recognition Act is still unreformed, so the Spousal Veto where an abusive and violent spouse can veto a trans person's gender change still stands in law for England and Wales.
  • Around half of trans folk will attempt suicide. Two thirds self-harm. This is because there are not enough vocal allies standing up to say ‘we see you, we hear you, we care’.

This is your opportunity as an ally, to genuinely change and save lives, and make our society safer and more inclusive. Please help us by supporting this event.
