Preparing for Online Teaching

As the University moves to online teaching, we are sharing our top tips on how students can prepare for online learning:

1. Be Patient

Things might not go right first time! Give your your lecturers ad other students a chance and be helpful where you can.

2. Embrace online learning

Use it as an opportunity to develop skills useful in future jobs and life pathways

3. Develop your communication skills

Learn how to communicate professionally and appropriately, whilst showcasing your individuality and style

4.Sort a routine

Set yourself daily/ weekly schedules to help reenforce good learning behaviour and time management

5. Get Connected

Set up course mate whatsapp groups, live video study sessions, shared google docs for information- use the power of the internet to enhance your learning experience

6. Set up a work station

Succulents and colour co-ordinated stationery at the ready- set up a space that you use only for learning (and send us a photo!)
