The entries for the 2018 Fairtrade Bake Off were impressive - all entries scored highly and absolutely none was left over at the end of the day!
We hope it raised awareness of choosing to use FT products, which makes a real difference to many of our fellow citizens around the globe. Thank you to all who took part - we really appreciated your amazing baking skills.
We announced the winning cake yesterday - congratulations again to Julie Screen from Baxter Storey, whose superbly indulgent and magnificently presented chocolate cake just pipped Pittville's entry to the winning spot.
The scoring was close.... it seemed fair to take an average score for the two categories, which were appearance and taste (some cakes were smaller than others and therefore were finished more quickly) and the final score for each entry was calculated by adding the averages together.
