Well - what a year 2020 has been! Thanks to everyone who has been working with us this year and a massive thank you to all our members for all the energy you've been putting into your SU during this weird time. Most SU staff and Officers are taking a break over the next few weeks to rest and recharge - we're officially "closed" as of the 23rd December and re-open on the 4th January.
Also note that the wider University is closed from Wednesday 23rd December-Sunday 3rd January. Helpzones are open until Tuesday 22nd December and you can get in touch with them by email: helpzones@glos.ac.uk or phone 01242 714444
If between now and then you need support there are here are some suggestions of where you can turn:
If you're on campus and need to get in touch with someone urgently, contact Security on 01242 714402.
For online support, you might want to look at:
Togetherall
Student Space
The Samaritans
If you're alone during the holidays at the University the Student Services team are offering to give students a call between Christmas and New Year to check in and see how you are getting on. Let them know if you fancy that chat by contacting welfare@glos.ac.uk before Monday 21 December.
All the libraries at the University will be open 24/7 across the holidays to use, with swipe card access. This will be for self-service books. Staff will be available until 5pm on Tuesday the 22nd December and back in from Monday 4th January.
From all of us at the SU, have an amazing break - you've earned it. We'll see you in 2021!
