***NEW LIFE DRAWING SOCIETY***
***FIRST SESSION IS ON WEDNESDAY 31ST OCTOBER***
The Life Drawing Society has been set up for those interested in developing their drawing skills.
The idea to set up the society came from the MA Illustration students wanting some life drawing classes to help improve figure drawing.
This society is open to all who have an interest in improving their drawing. We will try out different activities, such as short and long poses, drawing swaps etc. and are hoping to get some guest speakers in for talks or workshops. Watch this space for development on this!
Sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings 18:00 - 20:00, in the Illustration Drawing Studio HC302 (next to the BA studio, 3rd floor), Francis Close Hall campus.
Sessions will start on 31st October!
We have now recieved generous funding to support the classes so going forwards the weekly Life Drawing sessions will be free to all members of the society.
If you'd like to be part of the society you will need to become a member. Membership to the society is £1, however there will be weekly subs to enable us to pay for paper supplies and a model. At present this will be £4 per session minimum, however this is subject to change depending on numbers attending. We do ask that the weekly subs are paid in cash for the weeks that you attend. We are hoping to get some funding going forwards that will hopefully reduce costs and we'll let you know when that happens.
We have a limited amount of free materials to use during the class but please bring along the media that you would like to draw with.
The society is run by MA Illustration students, so not tutored, but occasional guidance can be given and peer reviews will take place.
We look forward to meeting you at the life drawing sessions!
