Do you want to:
- Work with local businesses on live projects?
- Build real-world experience for your CV?
- Develop skills that your future employer is looking for?
We’ll give you all of this, plus pub crawls
Through our partnership with The Growth Hub, we’ll put you in front of local businesses who need your creativity and innovation to improve what they do. It’s experience for you, and expertise for them. The society is open to everybody, not just marketing students, so you can look forward to working with other students from computing, graphic design or TV production.
And to kick off, we’re going to work with a cider marker.
Marketing is all about
drinking immersing yourself in the product. So with that in mind, we’re going to make a very important, very business-focussed, very research-based trip…to the local cider mill.
Of course, you’ll need to try the produce whilst you’re there.
Working with local firms through the society is an unmissable opportunity to help you grow. You’ll build a CV, make connections for the future, learn from other students, get free places on business workshops, and meet potential employers. The hours you put in now will pay you back tenfold when you graduate, plus you can use your experience for the university’s Employability Award.
We’ll be running loads of socials throughout the year, so make sure that you’re in the society and in the Facebook group to get involved. First up is Thursday 26th September at 8pm. We will meet at The Ox where Ross Jukes (Growth Hub Marketing Manager) will discuss how you can benefit from the Marketing Society and The Growth Hub.
And then the Gloucester pub crawl.
