The Sign Language Society is currently taking new members for the 2018-2019 year from PRIMARY EDUCATION and renewing members who signed up in September.

The Sign Language Society will provide an opportunity to learn basic BSL.
(Please note that this membership fee is non-refundable as we have to budget for the teaching time and the space. Please also note that memberships are limited so will be on a first come, first served basis.)
There will be an advanced class for members who successfully completed the training last year and/or have previously completed level one BSL and numerous new beginner classes for students from any course.
- A fun introduction to basic BSL
- BSL resources and recommendations for practice
- Certificate from the SU if you attend 80% of the total number of sessions
- Society sweatshirt (extra costs)
Price? £35 (25 people max per group.) incl. 20% VAT
£20 for Primary Education students (in third year who have not previously taken the BSL course through this society)
What? Basic British Sign Language
When? Tuesday or Thursday evenings
Where? University of Gloucestershire, FCH Campus
Why? To promote BSL skills at an affordable price
How? Sessions will include as a minimum: alphabet, numbers, basic communication and for education students will consist of behaviour management techniques, songs etc.
