Folk 'n Roots Society
The aim of the Unplugged society is to provide a social group where musicians, anyone who appreciates music or would like to learn an instrument can get together to play, jam, teach or learn acoustic and unplugged music in a friendly and supportive environment irrespective of ability or experience.
Regular social gatherings, hopefully on campus premises, for members to meet, drink, play, discuss or simply talk about their own interests or experiences in music.
Members could form their own musical partnerships or alliances with a view to performing live.
Outings to local open mics and gigs could be arranged to both watch and participate.
A couple of live performances per term involving as many members as possible, one at of the SU bars and the other at a suitable venue within the local community.
This society is FREE to join and there are no obligations. Simply attend when you can and let Gary or Cathal know a bit about yourself.
