Random Acts of Kindness

As part of Random Acts of Kindness Week The Students’ Union spread the love by delivering lots of sweets and chocolate bars to students and staff across each campus and they also hid some in the libraries. Each treat had a nice message on encouraging individuals to participate and do a random act of kindness. As well as this a competition was run under the hashtag  #positiveglos. The competition involved tweeting a picture of said random acts of kindness using the hashtag  #positiveglos. There were 50+ students taking part with competitions and prizes to be won for students who tweet their Random Act of Kindness.

Here are examples of 7 daily Acts of Kindness:

• Asking everybody you meet how they are;
• Making sure good friends ‘take a break’ from deadlines;
• Pay for the person behind you in the coffee queue;
• Making a ‘happy box’ for a friend having a tough time;
• Buy an umbrella and give it to someone who needs one;
• Sending an anonymous cactus gift to a hardworking person;
• Become an organ donor
