Welcome Fortnight Events & Tickets

Moving to a new city can be stressful, and outdoor cinema is the perfect way to help you unwind this Welcome Week. So, sit back and enjoy the views of Park Campus and its lake… not forgetting the film of course!

Two nights in a row - head on down to Park Campus to take in a movie alfresco style with a bar, popcorn and move to come. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

Come along to our Welcome Fayre to see what The SU have to offer you! Lots of students representing our fabulous societies and clubs will be there to meet you. There will also be a few stalls offering freebees – this is not one to miss!

The Scallywags Comedy club are hosting a comedy night to welcome you to our fantastic university and Students’ Union! With socially distanced seating, and top-notch jokes, the event promises to be fantastic!

What better way is there to appreciate your new home than watching the sun set while listening to acoustic music? You’re right, there is no better way. Join us at Park Campus for a relaxed evening to enjoy some music and have a drink

There’s no greater way to soak up all Gloucester has to offer like a PicNic! Sit down by the Cathedral and enjoy some tasty food in the sun. We’ll provide the snack boxes; all you have to bring is yourself.

We’re going on a PicNic! Join us in Pittville Park for a very special afternoon. The Chaplaincy team will provide you with a tasty lunch to enjoy while sitting down, making friends and soaking up the lovely views Pittville Park has to offer.

...and that's not all! We're confirming new online and in person events all the time so keep and eye on this page to stay up-to-date with new announcements. Make sure you see what else the UoG community has planned by clicking the "Other Events" link!

Events subject to change and will be delivered in line with Covid-19 safety measures.

There are so many fantastic student-led societies at UoG. You can browse all that there is to offer on our societies page here.

And you can come and meet the students that run them and find out more information at our Welcome Fayre in September. Lots of the societies have their own social media pages, so look them up if you have any questions before then.

Things are looking a little different for Sports this year with BUCS leagues starting in January, but there are still loads of opportunities to get involved! Check out the  info on our sports teams here and search for them on socials to ask any questions!
